By adopting an old method in this modern era, Deri Môn have succeeded in transforming local produce...by smoking it.

Gwen and her husband, David, set up the business five years ago, after deciding that working at home would suit them. Following installing the correct smoking machines in empty buildings on their land, it was then a dream come true for Gwen to be able to sell high quality products, which at the same time, offering the customer something a little bit different.

The produce is smoked over oak, and by also retaining the traditional recipes, maximum flavour is guaranteed. The produce is also sourced locally – from fresh fish to cheeses and tomatoes.

The business has continued to go from strength to strength, and the handful of True Taste awards they have won over the years is a measure of their success.
