Adventa

Adventa is a rural development initiative providing assistance and support to Monmouthshire’s rural businesses. It works directly with the communities and businesses themselves to introduce creative, often unique programmes, initiatives and promotions.

Made in Monmouthshire was created by Adventa in 2006 and identifies items that are locally made from sustainable resources, wherever possible in an environmentally responsible way.  The initiative celebrates the creative talents of local makers and artists and the skills of the local producers and their roles in keeping alive the traditions that have shaped the landscape. It promotes high quality art, crafts and produce and supports the rural economy by encouraging residents and visitors to buy local.

Adventa work closely with the tourism team in Monmouthshire and have been promoting the fantastic eateries and producers in the area for many years.   This year’s brochure was produced only a month after winning the Great Taste Award, and the food element is featured very strongly.

The award provided Adventa with an unique opportunity to promote the region, its producers and restaurants as the high quality destination it is, and provided them with the challenge of building and developing on their successes, and raising the bar even further!!
