Wales the True Taste

The True Taste Brand is the food and drink brand for Wales built upon authenticity, purity and quality. It is based upon the promise - Welsh  food  tastes as it should. It has the backing of the food and drink sector in Wales and is used to promote companies in UK and overseas markets.

Wales the True Taste Awards were first introduced in 2002 to recognise achievement throughout the food chain, from producer to consumer, manufacturer to restaurant owner.

In their first year almost 150 food and drink companies entered the awards, resulting in 36 winners whose products were judged best tasting. Over half of Welsh food and drink companies entered last years awards, attracting entries from 350 companies and 900 products.

Regarded as the Welsh food and drink “Oscars” the True Taste awards are an opportunity to recognise excellence and innovation and to celebrate the industry’s ongoing success.
