Food and Drink Awards
Well we did it. 10 years of the Wales the True Taste Food & Drink Awards was royally celebrated on the shores of Llandudno when Venue Cymru hosted the 2011-12 Awards ceremony on 20th October 2011.
119 award winners were recognised on the night – check them all out here – culminating in Rachel Rowlands, the first ever True Taste Champion, taking the stage to present the 2011-12 crown to Conrad Davies – a staunch advocate of the quality of Welsh produce and the first independent retailer to open a Eurospar store in Britain.
Our friends in the media joined us once again, which led to a fab one-hour programme running on the following Saturday on s4c, featuring footage from the ceremony and interviews with some of our winners, not to mention the positive articles that have appeared in both the Welsh and UK media since the winners were announced.
